Opens the door and:]
Yes? Can we help you?

Hey. You're standing in the way.

Heard you guys survived.

Only had one failure.
And from what I can tell, all units traded equally so it death and maiming was really left to playing the odds.
... Did BARiTONES make it?
[He booked it out of endgame early to take care of a stressed out not!boyfriend]
no subject
One of them didn’t make it. We needed pep to bring him back after.

Does not compute]
Even though the rest survived?

[How did Sekhmet put it?]
––the shock. Pretty sure he doesn't want me saying the specific reason why it happens.

...
Is this going to be a re-occurring event? That he dies even if the injuries don't qualify as "life threatening" according to the producers.
no subject
Something to look forward too, huh?
no subject
I know of a person in a state of perpetual life-threatening illness. He made a deal with a demon pawn - they keep what ails him at bay in exchange for favors from the audience.
no subject
...Favours like what?
no subject
What kind of favors could the audience want?

[Thinking of all the porn fanmail...]

Doesn't require a mosaic. Usually. But you're on the right track.
no subject
Okay, uh— okay.
You obviously know who cut the deal, so are you gonna tell me who it is?
no subject
I can tell you that the deal was cut with the ShopKeeper - the demon who runs the points shop. If you need to know how he was summoned, I can try and dig up that information for you.

[Sighs. Kind of sucks to have busted unit mates. ]
no subject
In the meantime, that's just more incentive for your unit to play to escape injury. Surely you don't worry about that after how cooperative your unit was in the last game.

As I saw it, everyone evenly distributed the resources and then let RNG decided who lived and who died. A cold but effective way to leave blame on no one in particular.
And also probably due to the fact that all the deals were transparent between the two parties. It wasn't like other games where who targeted whom was kept a secret.

Sounds like you approve?
