Right when Shine arrived, the production was in trouble. The units weren't being entertaining enough and weren't sticking close enough to their units. So people and eventually the world started to go grey and fade. Future is Now was hit with the worst of it for a stupid reason that is not worth mentioning at this point.

People tried to stop it. Ended up invoking the powers of both Pythia and Asmodeus. They held a trial - to see who had committed crimes against unit unity and not causing enough unit conflict. We lost. Badly.

Now - if you don't where you unit outfits or go multiple days without returning to the dorm, you start to fade. First losing pigmentation and then memories. And the end state is you become one of the Damned.

Silence has watched everyone at large, day by day, and had not witnessed this occur... which means everyone truly is complying to this rule.

But this trial... what became of it?

It takes three days for it to start. Your phone will start blaring at you if you spend more than 24 hours outside the dorm.

We were placed on trial with AlcheME!, Taisho, and SensitIV! Bad End was the presiding judge. And our sentence was not causing enough unit conflict. Taisho emotionally destroyed multiple people and SensitIV! physically did, so they were spared.

So we died. As well as AlcheME! - not too surprising.

But because we were already inflicted with the grey disease, all Future is Now that were present were also affected by a permanent memory corruption. This included myself, Angel, Shogun and you didn't meet him, but our Dr. Moreau.

One of AlcheME! was also affected, but I never learned what his particular affliction was. It was different per unit.

It occured well before my presence, so there is little for me to act upon or say. But it makes me wish more for ZRAEL's agreement so Man Eater does not become grey.
