[We won a game, huzzah! Night 115 is when Pharaoh is coming back to the unit with a pink sensitiv sweater wrapped around his waist because his clothes went missing.

But day 116, he's got clothes again, hooray. HOW ARE YOU ALL?]

[PROBABLY FOR A FAIRLY LONG TIME since when he is determined about a thing, he sees it through until the end. Also his physical form is peak so he won't die as fast.]

but at that point fox will set down his brush and stretch his arm out]

I believe now would be a good time for a short break. You may relax if you like. I need to stretch, myself.

[When he puts down the brush, Pharaoh takes the time to stretch himself, flexing those muscles to make sure they don't become weary!]

Take your time. Your focus seems to be superb.

[Some minor glances here and there...]

When it comes to art, I am told I am difficult to distract.

You make it sound like a challenge.

Do I? That would be quite interesting. Short of a natural disaster, I can think of very little that I would lose my focus for.

[mywife]

Ha! Such words are for the bedroom.

[chuckles, goes a bit //// and tucks some hair behind his ear]

When I am determined to do something, I do not let myself be swayed from it easily.

Hmph, I wonder. Though I must say that I have no desire to interrupt as of now. I would like to see the finished piece, after all.

We can discuss it again afterwards.

[tho now he's eyeing pharaoh speculatively, CAN'T IMAGINE WHY]

[Returns those glances with his own, but he goes back to stretching until it is time to pose once more.]

Let us continue, then. I can already see this will be a fine painting.

Of course.

[After all, it is himself that we are talking about.]

[MORE!! PAINTING!! MORE!! MODELING!!!!!

this is going to take forever. hours of your life, sitting until your butt goes numb.

BUT eventually, fox will lean back with a long exhale]

There. It is done.

[mywife]

[GOOD THING, HE WAS STARTING TO GET CRANKY, he needs a snack.

With arms crossed, he quickly moves over though he tries to give the appearance of someone who's cool as a cucumber, not someone who is SUPER CURIOUS.]

Let me see your work.

[the painting is shining--not just from the wet paint, but from the impression of light. pharaoh is front and center, with view angled just slightly upwards, as if he is looming over the viewer. the style is slightly impressionistic, allowing for the usage of a bright light (ostensibly the sun) shining behind his head and casting a golden glow about him. if it weren't for the way that fox has painted light and shadow into the image, it would be fairly simplistic--but this way, it gives the impression that the light is coming from him. he exudes confidence, even arrogance, but there is a kindness in his smile.

fox glances up at him]

[He's taking a fairly long moment to look over this portrait. He stands there, arms still crossed, and he doesn't make any notion that he plans to speak right away. But after that moment of silence, he turns to look at Fox-]

[lets out a breath he didn't know he was holding, and smiles, not-so-secretly very pleased and relieved]

The likeness is astounding . . . yes, it is like I am staring at a statue of myself but it is a painting! Or perhaps it is even like those strange pictures that you can capture through these devices that they have given us, these phones. I have taken many but they do not carry the same weight as this piece.

I can see why you have such confidence. It is rightfully earned.

I have spent a great deal of my life studying art, after all. But it pleases me that you can clearly see the product of my efforts.

[mywife]

Of course. How is it that I can repay you for your time and work?

I do not require payment of any kind. The opportunity to practice and hone my skills is plenty for me.

[mywife]

Hmph, I am unsatisfied with such a result. I will come up with something later.

At the very least, this particular matter is now done and over with.
