Because I wanted to know how you're dealing with things. Your unit is the one that has to navigate that mess when you didn't ask for it.

It'll work as well as long as people don't panic and vote for something they've not agreed to. Or vote differently out of spite. Or hell, even vote correctly at all because they actually talk to their unitmates about important things and know who to protect.

Honestly, units that were protected have much more to lose than those that weren't since you're giving up the safety net of being voted for by multiple units.

I think it's fair that everyone has the same risk for real this time. As long as people don't panic, like you said. I don't see anyone actually pulling the spite vote. What do they have to gain?

Isn't being spiteful the gain in and of itself?

I guess. So they'd have to believe the cost is greater than that momentary satisfaction.

It's not an unrealistic fear that to think that if we do this, we could be sending everyone to Lilith. Or bringing a group wide punishment down on our heads.

... There will likely be retaliation. We're kidding ourselves to think otherwise.
