Live

Who: Albert, imeeji
Where: lobby live
When: day 99, noon

[ While he wasn't there, it seems that people need something that wasn't ... What Just Happened to think about. So, he sits in an armchair, sipping a cup of tea -- and smashes that live button. ]

I'd like to hear more about your opinions on various types of teas. With the reach of our world's stretching out to the unimaginable, the difference in our cultures with regards to cuisine is interesting. ...At least, with what the most of us can remember, that is.

My own favourite is Earl Grey. Hard to prepare incorrectly, it has a sweetness to it, with bergamot giving something reminiscent of citrus with a complex yet humble flavour. It works well as a base for cream and sugar, and some find it nice to add lavender for an even fuller flavour.

On this topic, I am casting shame to the overly sickly-sweet drinks in the café. They seem there only for presentation, and pay no mind to what that ungodly amount of sugar and syrup does to the flavour of anything at all. Trying one, I immediately feared for my life. This part is not up for debate, as they're likely another hell-like punishment cast upon us.

Thank you for your time.

Tea is okay. I like coffee better.

[ actively drinking something from the cafe that is bright blue, but, stops to applaud ]

What a moving speech!

I only accept the sweetest tea lattes myself and accept your casted shame.
composeur: (and any thought of consequence)

[ he also has been negligibly existing and to be perfectly honest he's not even listening to 90% of whatever albert is saying he's just here to bask in the glow of human contact with virtual strangers he holds no actual responsibilities towards I mean-- ]

Will you let me taste it?

I think my favorites are usually oolong teas such as Iron Goddess of Mercy and Red Robe, with a hint of sweet and floral flavors, though I imagine most people here haven't really been able to afford their price tag in life. I wonder if that's any different here, since the economy is so different~

[ He takes a seat nearby then, sweeping the long robes of his pajamas under his legs and opening his wings up enough to not sit on them as he holds a cup of green tea himself. ]

Now, while I can't really consume overly sweet drinks, I have to say that shaming others for their taste is in poor form. If you are a true lover of tea, you should respect others' choices to drink and prepare it the way they prefer.

But, I don’t think the cafe is going to kill you. Just ask for itunsweetened.

COUNTER-LIVE

[ Considers for a moment before smacking his own Live button for a COUNTERLIVE. ]

I disagree! It enhances the sweet tones in the naturally sweet teas, making them shine brightly!

[Oh, this must be the phenonemon called "Lives!" The idea of being seen by an audience, especially an audience comprised of those possibly invested in her being a captive. Nevertheless, she takes a deep breath and sits nearby.]

Oh, that sort of tea sounds rather good. I did visit the cafe yesterday, but I only ordered an ordinary mint tea with a moderate amount of sugar. Some of the drinks sounded quite strange.

Overall, the cafe is rather far away for just a casual drink and a snack, though.

I, ah, like green teas best.
softlyfalling: (surely you will be saved one day)

Mm... maybe some of the drinks in the café are overwhelming, but iced tea with milk and sugar could be good, couldn't it? Although for this kind of weather I'd probably prefer rice tea, if they had it?

My favourite tea is Matcha. I like mostly green teas otherwise. I've yet to try a variety of other blends.
arealeyeopener: (Mmm....)

The cafe is fine, but I'm usually getting coffee instead. Tea's just alright.

Tea suuuuuucks!
composeur: (don't you leave me alone)

[personal profile] composeur 2019-03-19 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Ehh? What the hell's with that? Even though I'm definitely older than you, and I'm a King to boot. You shouldn't talk to me that way! I know how to drink tea!

More importantly, you put sugar in this right?
syncintohell: (they definitely can’t see)

[personal profile] syncintohell 2019-03-19 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
All this fuss over beverages— you are capable of making tea to your standards, so there is no point to dwell and fuss about those that cannot pass muster, non? Those who are unrefined enough to enjoy it are punished enough for their terrible palettes by consuming the swill.

There is plenty of other tea out there. Must you act as a parasite on this gentleman's hard work preparing tea to his liking?

[ disapproving!! as he is, reflexively.

even tho he's judging Albert's tea snobbery in another thread. ]
searingedgelord: (Vegitables are good for you)

[personal profile] searingedgelord 2019-03-19 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
[your voice will always be a mindfuck, sir.

But anyway. She’s looking for distractions, so]

Green tea is good for you.
neverbeentogeorgia: (let me buy you a drink)

[personal profile] neverbeentogeorgia 2019-03-19 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but a good Jack and Coke tastes way better. Besides, we're in hell. Who gives a shit about doing things that's good for us?

[gives him a look]

I do. Hell isn’t an excuse to neglect your health.

[look she can be a bit of a Mom friend ok]

At least then my idiot teammates can have a healthy body when they decide to jump into an abyss.

[an angry mom friend. Who is angry at one teammate in particular right now]

syncintohell: (and know your desires)

[personal profile] syncintohell 2019-03-19 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
Of course, you would have no standards outside of a price tag.

[ Shu just has water, but he's drinking it very snobbishly at his own small table nearby. ]
neverbeentogeorgia: (UHM??)

[personal profile] neverbeentogeorgia 2019-03-19 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
I'll admit rum's not exactly part of a balanced breakfast, but jumping into abysses isn't a stupid thing that I've done yet.

That I know of.

Some reason you're pissed at me for that?
