The occasion is that I wished to try out one of Taisho's new Lives, as well as some new fashion. And it just so happens to be a lovely day to do both.

It's dinner and a show. And Intensity is way more interested in the show than the plate of wagashi in front of him. The better to drink the tea at maximum bitterness (if any of it stays in the cup anyway).]

Improvising on the finer points of the ceremony? There's something to be said about taking a tradition and making it your own.

That is the general idea, yes. I could perform the ceremony as the various tea schools teach it--but it would not be mine.
