[ Now that we've all gathered together in a pow-wow with our phones and the screens lining the--floor?--let's go ahead and show Abi how it's done. ]

[ In this memory Hiryuu takes up archery and is forced to confront the fact that in order to live she must be able to kill. ]

[ SPOILERS FOR INFINITY WAR IN WHITE TEXT BELOW AS WELL AS THE LINKED VIDEO. Do not even click on it if you want to avoid spoilers! There are spoilers in the title of the video too.

Spidey is taking his memory towards the end of the line, ICly. After some of these memories have been kinda shitty, he’s really hoping to display something good here. ]

Memories aren’t all bad, I swear. Like, you can get some pretty badaaa ones. The last one I had was all flipping around being a superhero, so I’ve probably got tons just like it.

[ So he says right before pressing the button to buy his memory. The memory is quite brief. No more than a minute at most, and maybe more like thirty seconds. But they pack a hell of a punch. Spidey is on some kind of alien planet, surrounded by the wreckage of some incredible battle. He dimly remembers what that was all about - something about a gauntlet? A titan? - but it's not important. Because they lost that battle. Lost it hard, and now ... now there are going to be consequences.

As Spidey looks on in horror, most of the rest of the group with him turns into ash, one at a time. A few humans. More aliens. Spidey's memories of them are blurry, but you get the sense that that guy with that goatee is a wizard, and those guys are Star Wars (what is Star Wars, though). And the other guy with the goatee is special, Spidey trusts him completely, Mr. Stark will help him--

He staggers towards him awkwardly. Even before the first bits of him start to dissolve, he can almost sense it coming. Like he knows it'll happen before it does, and that makes the sensation of crumbling all that much worse. He's seen the others die already. He knows instantly that it's happening to him too, and he doesn't want to go. He doesn't want to go.

In that moment, Spidey isn't some hero that just got done fighting (and losing) a battle. He's just a kid who's scared, who wants more than anything not to have to deal with it. He stumbles; Mr. Stark pulls him into a hug. But it does him no good. All he can do is cling and be terrified of his own impending death. It's selfish, probably, but --

The rest of the memory blurs a little. He's on the ground now, apologizing to Mr. Stark with his last words. He has a brief thought wondering where he'll go, if he'll go anywhere at all. And then - nothing. Ash and dust and a breeze is all that's all that's left of him.

Afterwards, Spidey just looks. Utterly and completely stricken. Bloodless and horrified, he staggers a moment before just sort of collapsing onto his knees, just holding his own arms with his hands. Trying to ground himself. Trying to prove to himself that what he saw might have been real, but it was a memory, still, and it's not happening now, and - and -

When did he start crying? He doesn't even realize until he swipes his sleeve across his eyes and brings it back wet. ]

[ she turned around to talk to someone for like TWO SECONDS and she missed it!!! wtf She has NEVER seen Spidey cry, not even when she and Cable got so fucked up, so her alarm is through the ROOF. She moves over to put a hand on his shoulder. ] Spidey!? What's wrong, what happened?

[Probably going to take his toward the beginning of the line, ICly. This memory involves a much younger Hurricane and his big sister double-teaming their mother into letting him have martial arts classes.]

[This memory is so old, Wire's practically unrecognizable in it. He's just a 12-year-old boy - though he still has the scar over his eye and a streak of white hair. And his left arm is eaten away by the techno-organic conversion already - but with mentoring from a mother-figure, he seems to be able to push it back by sheer force of will alone.

Wire doesn't say very much, but he was holding his arm a little tighter. Memories of old pain and old powers.]

The memory that plays is this one. Not a bad memory at all. A little bit of anxiety is present, particularly toward the end, but other than that it's nice.

But what's really most noticeable is that he's definitely with Hiryuu in this memory.

When it's done playing, he will look at her with a kind of bewildered expression.]
