[there is apparently a newbie in team neutral pajamas sitting on one of the crates, just idly playing with what seems to be their shiny new smartphone and seems to look rather comfortable with themselves and is just squinting at all of this without any regard to the fact that the dorm door is locked.

she is absolutely minding her own business, and whether she is sorry for it or not has yet to be seen.

If you're dating a detective, you immediately get an advantage over the law. Especially if said detective is close to the police-- they can probably manipulate information and help you evade capture.

... I'm not even sure where to start.

You see, there was a game that had me locked away in mirrors for what felt like two hundred years. Sometimes memory recall is hard.

It was pretty bad, yeah.

Uh... Tatsuya and Phoenix also have some... experiences with that. So if we all seem a bit odd, there's a 50-50 chance that's a factor.

I don't mind odd, but at least there's a reason for it that I can factor in. I might not be able to entirely wrap my head around it, and I think that's partially because I'm new, but the least I can do is be an impartial sounding board, I guess?

Don't count yourself so short. There's always new angles to find with advice, especially from a fresh perspective.
