Who: HSS (and pals??)
Where: HSS dorm
When: Day 59
[ WHEW!!!!
At some point during the day, HSS group chat is receiving a text from King. ]
King: When you all have a free moment, there are some things I want to discuss as a group.
King: Meet me in the common area.
[ Whenever they get there, King is seated at the table with a torn out piece of paper with some writing on it, a journal, and a stack of library books about.... religion? He's also absentmindedly rocking a dice against the table. ]
There are some things we should probably talk about and regroup on. Since we're rarely all in the same place at the same time, I decided we may as well make it a meeting.
[ Also to keep Hiryuu from doing it this time, god. REST. ]

[ He slides forward the piece of paper torn out of a journal, with this information written on it. ]
I wanted to share what he learned, since there are a few interesting details - particularly regarding Asmodeus' personnel situation.
I'm also attempting to compile what I've learned so far [ he taps the closed journal on the table ], so if anyone has any information they haven't shared with me yet - please do. I want to know.

He gained an audience with someone working for Asmodeus? How?

He knows how to summon demons apparently.

mukuro meeting
With the matter of points largely squared away, as Mori noted earlier, there are a few details we should probably decide on. The first is who will actually be attending, and the second...
I would like to wait until AcheME has finished their own meeting and find out exactly what they learned. That will give us the opportunity to build our questions around the new information, and potentially ask follow-up questions.

Hurricane and I have been discussing some of the questions that we'd like to ask of them, so once we have some answers, we can go from there.
Regarding participation [ raises her hand ] I'd like to go, or at least roll against anyone else who wants to go.

MURDER???
[ for fucks sake ]
I'm sure most of us have seen it by now, but if you haven't - don't.
We were preoccupied at the time, and locked in the dorm besides, so there's little we could have done to prevent it. But since we've previously taken such a strong public stance on incidents like this [ HIRYUU ], and I doubt this will be the last time something like this happens... I don't want it to pass without comment. How do you want to address this?

We can't let this stand without reacting. Even if we do nothing, Avante surely will. Cardigan will. More than that, however, there's no way that you can pain this as anything other than morally and ethically wrong.

Agreed. Particularly since I have some concerns about a repeat offense.

Re: MURDER???
I agree with what King said that most likely we will end up having to act independently. I doubt even now the community will actually agree on how to handle situations like this.
I...do feel that however we want to go about it, we should set some ground rules of what people can expect of us and what they shouldn't be expecting of us. I get that we want to stop murder from happening, but if we don't set some kind of limits or guidelines I think we'll end up stretching ourselves to the limit, getting involved in other people's grudges and problems with one another.
So I guess related to that, while I don't think this is an issue for most people here, I don't want any of us and whoever we may get in the future to feel they have to act as peacekeeper or intervention.
no subject
As far as guidelines for our involvement...
[ frowns. ]
I still don't think that it's wrong to want to protect all life, or at least as much as possible. I still believe that it is in the community's best interest if as little blood is spilled as possible. There's been far too much deadly violence around here lately as is--whether it resulted in a death or not. If we refuse to act, regardless of the circumstances, then we're placing a larger burden on Pep!Pep! and SensitIV. I'm not sure we'll be able to entirely avoid getting involved in interpersonal problems and grudges in. Inevitably, we're going to become entangled in things--both peoples' justifications for calling for help, and the perpetrators' justifications for wanting to commit the crimes.
... My only truly solid feeling at this moment is that we shouldn't become an instrument of revenge. If it comes down to hurting or killing someone to protect someone, or as a matter of justice, that may be an inevitable outcome of our role. Even if it's meant to serve as a deterrent of future actions, or the last resort of dealing with someone deemed truly heinous, if we cannot get the community to agree to something better--then that's acceptable. But once vengeance and pure anger starts to determine what we do, at that point... then what we're offering is no longer a sword and a shield for victims, but the instruments of war for would-be perpetrators themselves.

body part replacement fund
I'm sure most of you remember the live Cardigan requested when C and Haruto were missing, and John Doe's response after the fact. Though the tone of his message may have been questionable, I think his concerns had some merit. Namely - when points are earned in situations like that, others are likely to misconstrue our intentions if they're not made clear.
I've decided to set aside those points - and any future points earned in similar lives, or even similar games - for a fund dedicated to healing and revival efforts after violent games. I don't expect anyone else to contribute if they don't want to, but I also know some of you may be of like mind. I wanted to let you all know before speaking with the community at large.

But it seems he thought we were being opportunistic and making ourselves rich on his unitmate's misfortunes, even if we all know that wasn't the case.

I propose a few ground rules of our own. First, that the fund is meant to repair damage acquired in games, not outside the game tower. And second, that no points will be dispensed to anyone on a team that owes Peppep a debt.
