Yeah, but you still need to get the safe water first. What if there's just nothing safe in your hometown? Or you travel all over, and can't ever be sure the streams you find are safe?

I mean, originally it was gonna be a dinner party, but then that shitty game happened. I wasn't sure anyone would be hungry — and even if they were, they might've ended up like me.

Ever since the game ended, most of what I've tried to eat or drink has tasted like dirt, only somehow both blander and grainier.

Easiest's the junk food, no question. [ A chuckle. ] But the leftovers won't take more than a couple minutes.

[ Opening the fridge demonstratively. There's a bunch of tupperware containers inside, and — between him and Aster, probably a lot of Fantasy East Asian food inside. His cooking especially has a decided Japanese-y bias, though he's been picking up some of WWX's favorite recipes.

So, for example: there's definitely some plastic-wrapped rice balls with a variety of fillings. ]

Anything look good?

Oh, a variety. Salmon, tuna, konbu... Plum, of course. None of us are, uh, vegetarians, but some of those are anyway. Why not, right?

So, I assume they're called that because they're... smooth? You put fruits and veggies in a blender. Usually with some sort of cream base? Like yogurt. It's good for the gym, you can load 'em up with protein.

Yep! The portability is probably most of the point. Not that one fruit isn't portable, but you could do a whole fruit salad that way.
