I was telling Raven that he shouldn't talk like he was trying to be a father to you to redeem himself... I feel like that almost makes it sound like an obligation? And it's not that. He's doing it because he cares about you and wants to be there for you, not because there was some wrong in the past he doesn't even remember that he's atoning for.
